All about Calories

Sebelum memulakan diet untuk menurunkan berat badan apa yang kita perlu lakukan ialah, kita perlu tahu fakta yang tepat dan betul tentang kalori. Ini kerana supaya kita faham tentang konsep kalori masuk dan kalori keluar.

Objektif utama kita ialah untuk mendapatkan berat yang ideal bagi menjamin kesihatan tubuh.

Apa yang dimaksudkan tentang kalori? (Calories)

A calorie is a unit of measurement. It is a unit of energy.

When someone says to you that something contains 10 calories, it mean you will get 10 calories when you eat that food.

Calories are used by the human body for energy. However, having too many calories in our body and not burning enough of them can put us at risk of weight gain.

Burning calories means using the energy stored in our body. Every movement that we make burns calories. The more vigorous a movement or activity is, the more calories are burned.

How do you know how many calories a food item contains?

Here's how many calories are in each gram of the following:

Carbohydrates - 4 calories
Protein - 4 calories
Fat - 9 Calories

Or we can simply look at the nutrition label on food packaging.

Children and teenagers need calories. However, because each person is unique, the amount of calories needed varies from person to person.

The most important is proportions, proportions, proportions. It's all about eating the correct proportion of everything. How is too much? How little is too little. It's all in the pyramid

Balanced Diet for Adults

Children and teenagers should be physically active for at least 60 minutes most days of the week.

Limit solid fats such as butter. Most fats should e from fish, nuts and vegetable oils.

Eat lean cuts (meat) seafood and beans. Cut back on frying.

Half of all grains we should eat be whole grain.

Eat variety of vegetables.

Eat variety of fruits. Limit your intake of fruit juices.

Eat low-fat or fat-free diary products.
